Mythos Log turns your real habits into skills you can build over time. Set a weekly baseline, log what you do, and see how each completed week affects your progress and rank.
Getting Started
The first time you open the app, follow the setup screens:
- Choose the starter habits you want to track. All seven core skills are included, and you can change habits later.
- Set a baseline for each skill: the amount you normally do in a week. Be honest about your current routine; this sets your starting rank.
- Optionally add a target and personal max for each skill. You can skip these and add them later.
- Tap Begin Training.
The Dashboard shows your skills and this week's progress. Use the tabs at the bottom to open Review, Goals, and More.
Logging Activity
- On the Dashboard, tap the log button on a skill card. You can also tap Log beside a skill in Review.
- If the skill has several habits, choose the one you did.
- Enter the amount, such as minutes, pages, or a session. Change the date if you're logging something from earlier, and add a note if you like.
- Tap Save Log or Complete Session.
Tap a skill card to see its habits and weekly total. Open a habit to use its quick log buttons, make a custom log, or see recent entries. To remove an entry logged by mistake, swipe left on it in the habit's Recent Logs list and tap Delete.
Skills, Habits, and Baselines
A skill is an area you want to improve, such as Strength or Reading. A habit is a specific activity you log under that skill. Habits linked to the same skill contribute to its weekly total.
Your baseline is your normal weekly expectation. It drives the progress shown on the Dashboard and your rank changes. A habit can also have its own daily or weekly target to help you track that activity.
- To add a habit, open its skill on the Dashboard and tap Add in the Habits section.
- To change a habit, open it and tap Edit. You can change its name, measurement, schedule, target, or whether it is active.
- To change a skill's baseline or measurement unit, open the skill and tap Recalibrate.
- To enable, archive, or reorder skills, go to More → Manage Skills. Archiving keeps the skill and its history.
Charge and Ranks
At the end of each week, Mythos Log compares each skill's logged total with its baseline. Going above your baseline can earn Charge toward the next rank. Meeting your baseline maintains your progress. Falling short can reduce Charge or build up a deficit; repeated shortfalls may lower a rank, depending on your progression settings.
Rank changes happen when the week is finalized. You can adjust strictness, regression, and decay under More → Settings → Progression.
Weekly Review and History
The Review tab shows which skills are on pace, behind, or at risk this week. Tap a skill's name for its details, or use Log to add activity. Viewing Review does not finalize the week or change your data.
With the default Monday week start, the previous week finalizes automatically after Sunday at midnight. Open Review for the result and a breakdown by skill. Go to More → History to see trends and earlier weeks. You can change the week start in More → Settings → Progression.
Goals
Goals give you a separate target to work toward over a chosen period. They do not replace your weekly skill baseline.
- Open Goals and tap + or Create your first goal.
- Choose what the goal tracks and set a target. You can link it to a skill or a particular habit.
- Add an end date and priority if you want, then save it.
Tap a goal to edit it. Goals are for tracking by default. If you want meeting a goal to earn bonus Charge, enable Goals affect charge in More → Settings → Calibration & Goals, then turn on Goal affects progression for that goal.
Apple Health, Shortcuts, and Widgets
To import workouts, go to More → Settings → Apple Health, tap Connect Apple Health, and allow access. Turn on Auto-import workouts for ongoing imports, or tap Sync Now. Under Workout Types, choose which activities to import. If an imported workout cannot be matched to a habit, open the prompt on the relevant skill to assign it, create a matching habit, or ignore it.
You can also use supported Mythos Log actions in Apple's Shortcuts app to log common activities or open a skill. Add a Mythos Log widget from your device's widget gallery for a quick view of your progress.
Sync, Backups, and Reminders
Your data is saved on your device. When iCloud sync is available, it can also sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Check its status under More → Settings → Data. The same section has Export JSON and Import JSON for a copy of your data.
For daily, evening, weekly, or at-risk reminders, open More → Settings → Notifications, turn on the reminders you want, and allow notification access when prompted.
Troubleshooting
My activity is missing from this week's total. Check the log's date and that the habit belongs to the skill you're viewing. If it came from Apple Health, check for an unmatched workout on that skill.
My workout is not importing. Check Apple Health access, Auto-import workouts, and the selected Workout Types in Settings. Tap Sync Now to try a manual import.
My data is not showing on another device. Check More → Settings → Data on both devices and make sure they use the same Apple Account. iCloud sync can take time to complete.
I'm not receiving reminders. Check that the reminder is enabled in Mythos Log and that notifications are allowed for the app in your device's settings.
