1. Getting started
concinnity works offline, so you can start planning as soon as you open it.
- Add a task: capture it with a title as soon as it comes up. You can add notes, tags, or a project to keep related work together.
- Plan your day or week: give tasks a day or time to build a plan, and review your week ahead.
- Make time to focus: schedule focus sessions for the work that needs your full attention.
2. Connecting or disconnecting calendars
Calendar access is optional. When concinnity asks for access, allow it to see your events on the timeline next to your planned work.
- To connect later on iPhone or iPad: open Settings, go to Privacy & Security, then Calendars, and choose concinnity. Full access lets the app show your events.
- To connect later on Mac: open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, then Calendars, and turn on concinnity.
- To disconnect: turn off concinnity’s calendar access in the same place. Your events stay in your calendars, including any you created from concinnity.
- If an event is missing: check that the calendar account holding it is set up and syncing on this device.
concinnity only creates or edits an event when you choose to.
3. iCloud sync
Turn iCloud sync on or off in concinnity’s settings. Sync uses your private iCloud database, so each device must be signed in to the same Apple Account. Turning sync off stops syncing from that device. It does not delete data already stored in iCloud.
If another device has not updated:
- Check that iCloud sync is turned on in concinnity’s settings on both devices.
- Check that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is allowed for concinnity in your device’s iCloud settings.
- Check that both devices are online and that your iCloud storage is not full.
- Open concinnity on both devices and give it a few minutes. Low Power Mode and Low Data Mode can delay syncing.
- Update concinnity to the latest version on each device.
4. Notifications, widgets, and Live Activities
- Notifications: reminders are optional and scheduled on your device. If they are not appearing, check that notifications are allowed for concinnity in Settings on iPhone or iPad, or in System Settings on Mac. Check that a Focus mode is not silencing them.
- Widgets: add a concinnity widget by editing your Home Screen or Lock Screen on iPhone or iPad, or by choosing Edit Widgets on Mac. If a widget looks out of date, open the app to refresh it.
- Live Activities: if they do not appear, check that Live Activities are allowed for concinnity in the app’s entry in Settings.
Widgets and Live Activities can show parts of your plan on the Lock Screen, where anyone who can see your device may read them.
5. Reporting a problem
Email info@curateddesign.studio and include:
- Your device model, for example iPhone 16 or MacBook Air.
- Your iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version.
- The concinnity app version.
- The steps that cause the problem, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
Please do not send private task or calendar contents unless they are needed to explain the problem. A description or a cropped screenshot is usually enough.
We aim to respond within a few days.
6. Privacy and your data
